Ukraine Exported 18 Mln Tons of Corn

Wedoany.com Report-Apr. 21, As of April 18, Ukraine’s grain and pulses exports for the 2024/25 marketing year (MY) reached 34.3 million tons, a decrease of 4.3 million tons, or 11%, compared to the same period in the previous season, according to data from the State Customs Service, released by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Wheat exports totaled 13.6 million tons, down 10% from last year’s figures. This represents 84% of the agreed export volume of 16.2 million tons outlined in the grain memorandum. Barley exports amounted to 2.25 million tons, reflecting a 5% increase over the previous season’s shipments for the same period.

Rye exports saw a significant rise, with 10.8 thousand tons shipped, a elevenfold increase compared to the 1 thousand tons exported last season. Corn exports reached over 18 million tons, marking a 15% decline from the corresponding period in the prior year.

Flour exports stood at 56.8 thousand tons, a 32% reduction compared to the previous season’s figures. For context, the 2023/24 MY saw total grain and pulses exports of 50.8 million tons, including 18.4 million tons of wheat, 2.5 million tons of barley, 1.6 thousand tons of rye, 29.4 million tons of corn, and 98.2 thousand tons of flour.
