Recently, the B1 section of the Sarawak Second Trunk Road project in Malaysia, undertaken by China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), successfully achieved the full connection of its 28.5-kilometer subgrade earthworks. This marks a key breakthrough in the construction of the B1 section of the Sarawak Second Trunk Road, with the project fully entering the final stages of earthworks and the commencement of water bag surcharge loading construction.

Facing multiple challenges including access difficulties and limited material supply due to over 240 days of annual rainfall in the local area, the project team overcame these hurdles by dynamically optimizing construction organization, implementing refined whole-process control, and supplementing with effective incentive measures. This created a determined work situation of "seizing opportunities during rain and working continuously through the night on sunny days." During this period, the road construction project achieved monthly earthwork filling volumes exceeding 100,000 cubic meters for seven consecutive months, repeatedly setting construction records with single-day earthwork filling volumes surpassing 10,000 cubic meters. While accelerating progress, the road construction project also accumulated 2.4 million safe work hours and has consecutively won the "Annual Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management Gold Award" from the Malaysian Sarawak State Public Works Department (JKR) for four years, receiving high praise from the client.
