Wedoany.com Report-Sept. 25, Inox Clean Energy, through its wholly owned subsidiary Inox Solar, has started production at its new solar module manufacturing plant in Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The facility has an initial production capacity of 1.2 GW, with plans to expand further. The second phase of the project is already underway and is expected to add 1.8 GW, bringing the total capacity to 3 GW.

The plant is fully automated and designed to manufacture advanced n-type TOPCon solar modules. It incorporates M10, G12 R, and G12 solar cells, enabling the production of high-efficiency solar panels that meet the requirements of both domestic and international markets. This development is expected to contribute to the country’s renewable energy sector by enhancing the supply of next-generation solar technology.

In parallel, Inox Solar is also developing a larger integrated solar cell and module facility in Dhenkanal, Odisha, with a total planned capacity of 4.8 GW. This project will integrate solar cell and module production, creating a more efficient supply chain and boosting the company’s overall manufacturing capability.

By investing in both Gujarat and Odisha, Inox Solar is working toward expanding its role in the renewable energy sector and supporting the growing demand for solar modules. The projects reflect the company’s strategy to scale up advanced solar manufacturing infrastructure, which is seen as a key step in strengthening clean energy production.
