Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 15, On October 14, 2025, Li Auto announced the opening of its inaugural overseas authorized retail center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan's capital, via a press release on its WeChat account. This development signifies the Chinese automaker's official expansion into Central Asia, introducing its extended-range electric SUVs to the region.
The new facility will offer three popular models—the Li L9, Li L7, and Li L6—specifically adapted to suit local consumer preferences. These vehicles combine electric and range-extended capabilities, providing reliable performance for diverse driving needs.
In contrast to its direct-sales strategy in China, Li Auto is adopting an authorized dealership model abroad. This involves collaborating with regional distributors to establish a broader market network, ensuring efficient distribution and localized support.
The company aims to further its regional presence by launching two additional retail centers in Kazakhstan next month. One will be in Almaty, the nation's largest city, and the other in Astana, the capital, enhancing accessibility for customers across the area.
Buyers through these authorized outlets will enjoy the same comprehensive after-sales services as in China. This includes warranty protection, expert maintenance and diagnostics, supply of authentic parts, technical assistance, and wireless software updates, promoting a consistent ownership experience.
Wu Zuomin, Li Auto's head of international business, highlighted the importance of this step, stating: “Entering Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan represents a strategically significant move for the company's global expansion. Central Asia offers enormous growth potential, and the initiative underscores Li Auto's commitment not only to selling vehicles but also to building long-term relationships with overseas customers and delivering a premium ownership experience.”
This entry into Central Asia represents a key achievement in Li Auto's international growth plan, indicating a shift toward structured development of global operations in research, product customization, and sales and service systems.
Li Auto has set up research and development hubs in Germany and the United States to speed up tailored product and technology creation. Starting with models released from 2026, all vehicles will align with global regulatory requirements. Simultaneously, the automaker is growing its international sales and service facilities while developing integrated systems for smooth customer interactions.
Moving forward, Li Auto views globalization as a fundamental long-term priority, targeting expansion in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe. The company approaches this with steady resolve, gradually establishing a robust worldwide network to meet evolving market demands and foster enduring customer loyalty.
Through these efforts, Li Auto is positioning itself as a reliable provider of innovative electric mobility solutions, adapting to regional dynamics while upholding high standards of quality and service. The Tashkent launch serves as a foundation for broader initiatives, potentially inspiring similar advancements in nearby markets and contributing to sustainable transportation growth in Central Asia.
