Wedoany.com Report-Dec.4, On December 3, 2025, a consortium of South Korean milling companies successfully purchased 30,300 tonnes of U.S.-origin milling wheat through an international tender.
The entire volume was acquired from trading house Bunge on a free-on-board (FOB) basis at the following prices:
- 11,600 tonnes of soft white wheat (SWW), 9.5–11% protein, at $243.00 per tonne
- 5,800 tonnes of hard red winter wheat (HRW), minimum 11.5% protein, at $250.00 per tonne
- 12,900 tonnes of dark northern spring wheat (DNS), 14% protein, at $277.00 per tonne
Shipment is scheduled between February 1 and February 15, 2026, from U.S. ports.
The purchase reflects continued steady demand from South Korean millers for high-quality U.S. wheat to meet domestic flour production requirements during the first quarter of 2026. The varied protein specifications cover a range of end-use applications, including bread, noodles, and general-purpose flour.
