Wedoany.com Report-Dec 02,  Holtec International will host an open house meeting during which the public can ask questions about its planned restart of the former Palisades Nuclear Power Plant, which was shut down in 2022.

Holtec will host the session from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Palisades Joint Information Center, 330 W. Main St. in Benton Harbor.

Company officials will be available at multiple stations to discuss ongoing activities to prepare for the planned restart and take questions from the public.

Federal nuclear regulators are considering whether to allow the company to restart the reactor, what could become the first time a nuclear power plant in the U.S. returned to service after beginning the decommissioning process.
