On January 8, CMB.TECH, controlled by the Belgian Saverys family, announced the sale of 6 tankers and 2 Capesize vessels, generating substantial profits.

Specifically, CMB.TECH announced the sale of 6 tankers, expected to generate approximately $261.1 million in capital proceeds. These include the "Daishan" (built 2007), "Hirado" (built 2011), "Hojo" (built 2013), "Dia" (built 2015), "Antigone" (built 2015), and "Aegean" (built 2016).
Market rumors suggest Sinokor Maritime may be the buyer behind this tanker deal.
Furthermore, CMB.TECH stated that its subsidiary Bocimar sold two Capesize vessels built in 2009, namely the "Golden Magnum" and the "Belgravia", expected to generate a profit of approximately $8.1 million. These vessels have been delivered to their new owners this month.
CMB.TECH indicated that part of the proceeds from the tanker sale will be used to repay existing debt, while 50% will be distributed as dividends.
