Wedoany.com Report-Apr. 18, Axens Catalyst Arabia Ltd (ACAL) has expanded its manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia to include production of Tail Gas Treatment Catalysts, enhancing its existing hydroprocessing catalyst capabilities. This makes Axens the first and only company in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East to produce these catalysts, serving the oil and gas industry with advanced solutions.

The expansion enables Axens to supply local and regional partners with state-of-the-art Tail Gas Treatment Catalysts, designed to achieve sulfur recovery rates of up to 99.9%, significantly reducing SOx emissions. The facility, now operational, produces catalysts that operate at lower temperatures than traditional options, minimizing energy use and capital expenditure for customers.

Combined with its Claus catalysts, Axens offers highly efficient and reliable solutions for sulfur recovery and emissions control. These advancements ensure operational flexibility, high recovery rates, and compliance with stringent environmental standards, supporting the refining and gas sectors in meeting regulatory requirements.
