Huawei Showcases ‘Act’ Pathway & 9 New Industrial Intelligence Solutions at Huawei Connect 2025

Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 14, During his keynote titled “Breaking New Ground to Industrial Intelligence,” Huawei CEO Chen unveiled nine major industrial intelligence solutions developed in collaboration with partners, highlighting the company’s commitment to helping enterprises turn AI advancements into practical results.

Chen noted that rapid AI progress has raised critical questions for businesses: “How can enterprises ensure their AI investments generate real business value? How can enterprises use their own data to defend their competitive advantages? And how can enterprises help AI use cases move beyond pilots to large-scale application?”

To illustrate, Chen highlighted Runda Medical’s use of Huawei’s Ascend inference servers to create an AI medical record appliance. Deployed at West China Hospital, this solution reduced medical record generation time to about one second, significantly improving consultation efficiency and operational workflow.

From these projects, Chen outlined five key findings shaping industrial intelligence. First, selecting the right implementation scenarios is essential: “The value of AI lies in its ability to transform processes and promote intelligent product and service delivery when deeply integrated with core production scenarios.” Second, industry-specific AI models trained on high-quality vertical data outperform general-purpose models, offering enterprises a competitive edge. Third, demand for large-scale inference will continue to grow as AI agents proliferate. Fourth, human-AI collaboration is emerging as a new organizational paradigm that streamlines processes. Fifth, robust governance and risk management are crucial to ensure “secure, sustainable and trustworthy AI.”

Huawei introduced its three-step ACT pathway—Assess, Calibrate, and Transform—to help industries adopt AI effectively. In the first step, Huawei’s AI Scenario Assessment Framework evaluates business value, scenario maturity, and technology integration, helping clients identify more than 1,000 core production scenarios ready for AI deployment. The second step, calibrating AI models with vertical data, allows companies to customize models using industry-specific data, supported by Huawei’s full toolchain and AI security protection system. The final step, transforming operations with scaled AI agents, leverages Huawei’s Versatile platform, which can automatically generate agents and workflows exceeding 100 steps. An AI talent enablement program complements this approach, training professionals to develop, deploy, and manage agents.

Chen emphasized that following the ACT pathway requires strong ICT infrastructure, including innovations in data storage, computing, and networking. Huawei highlighted its AI storage solutions, Unified Cache Manager plugins, 800GE high-speed data center network solutions, StarryLink optical modules, and the Ascend AI SuperPoD 384 as key enablers.

The keynote also showcased Huawei’s expanding “Huawei + Partners” ecosystem, which now includes over 6,300 Kunpeng partners, 2,700 Ascend partners, 70 consulting firms, and 750 independent software vendors. The nine jointly developed industrial intelligence solutions announced are: City AI Centre & Foundation Model Solution, Intelligent Computing Labs Solution, Medical Technology Digital and Intelligence 2.0 Solution, Banking AI and Foundation Model Solution, Intelligent Manufacturing R&D Solution, SMART Logistics & Warehousing Solution, Intelligent Distribution Solution, Intelligent Exploration and Development Solution for Oil and Gas, and the Steel Blast Furnace Temperature Prediction Solution.

Chen concluded: “AI is changing the world around us. Our collective response to the changes brought by AI will determine whether it can truly deliver its ‘last mile’ value, and transform technology breakthroughs into real-world benefits. Every one of us will serve as both a pathfinder and a torchbearer, and Huawei will stand by your side as we build an intelligent future together.”
