BASF Starts up New Dispersions Production Unit in Türkiye

Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 14, BASF SE (Ludwigshafen, Germany) has inaugurated a new production line for dispersions used in architectural coatings and construction materials at its Dilovası, Türkiye facility. The expansion significantly boosts production capacity, enabling BASF to better meet growing demand in Türkiye, the Middle East, and Northwest Africa, while also broadening the regional product portfolio to address evolving customer needs and foster innovation.

The new line allows BASF to provide low-VOC (volatile organic compound) dispersions, improving indoor air quality for the architectural coatings and construction sectors. The Dilovası site has also implemented the Mass Balance approach, producing dispersions with a reduced carbon footprint. The facility will operate entirely on green electricity, reflecting BASF’s commitment to supporting customers in achieving sustainable transformation.

Dr. Jörg Niebergall, Senior Vice President of Dispersions Europe, stated: “With the start up of the new production line in Dilovası, we are well positioned to meet our customers’ growing demand for innovative dispersions in Türkiye, the Middle East, and Northwest Africa.
