In a notice issued on Thursday, the ministry stated that the initiative aims to ensure that urban computing networks across the country achieve millisecond-level response speeds for core infrastructure connections, essential facility links, and end-user applications. This development is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency and reliability of China’s digital infrastructure.

The notice outlines that the high-speed computing network will serve as a key component of the country’s next-generation information technology framework, supporting sectors such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, industrial internet, and data-driven innovation.
