Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 6, According to the Ukrainian Grain Association, Ukraine exported 3.2 million tons of grain and oilseeds during the first four months of the 2025/26 marketing year. The data, published by the association on Facebook, shows a notable increase in export activity, particularly in October.
Analysts reported that Ukraine’s export volume in October rose by 32% compared to September, reaching 3.2 million tons against 2.4 million tons in the previous month. The most significant growth was seen in corn exports, which surged to nearly 1.1 million tons in October. This represents a sharp increase from 61 thousand tons in September and 230 thousand tons in August, reflecting stronger demand and improved shipment conditions.
Exports of soybeans also recorded a major rise. In October, Ukraine exported about 230 thousand tons of soybeans, almost three times higher than the 78 thousand tons shipped in September. The increase suggests a seasonal acceleration in oilseed sales as harvesting and logistics improved.
Meanwhile, wheat exports in October reached approximately 1.5 million tons, showing an 18% decline compared with September. Despite this decrease, wheat remains one of Ukraine’s leading agricultural export products. In contrast, exports of barley and rapeseed both fell during the same period. Barley shipments dropped to 200 thousand tons, down 16% from September, while rapeseed exports declined to 177 thousand tons, representing an 11% reduction.
Overall, Ukraine’s grain and oilseed exports displayed a mixed performance, with corn and soybeans driving growth while wheat, barley, and rapeseed recorded moderate declines. The export pattern highlights the shifting dynamics of Ukraine’s agricultural trade, influenced by harvest cycles and market demand trends.
The Ukrainian Grain Association continues to monitor export volumes and forecasts further adjustments in the coming months as the marketing year progresses. The association noted that sustained export growth will depend on production capacity, logistical efficiency, and external market conditions.
The 2025/26 marketing year figures underline Ukraine’s continuing role in global grain and oilseed trade, supported by diversified export destinations and the steady recovery of agricultural operations. As international demand remains active, the country’s grain sector is expected to maintain stable performance through the remainder of the marketing year.
