Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 21,  Osisko Metals has released new drilling results from its Gaspé Copper project located on the Gaspé Peninsula in eastern Québec, Canada. The campaign targeted the southern extension of the Copper Mountain deposit and delivered 21 mineralized intercepts from eight recently completed drill holes.

Mineralisation at the Gaspé project is classified as porphyry copper/skarn and occurs as disseminations and stockworks of chalcopyrite with pyrite or pyrrhotite.

These results support the company’s ongoing program to upgrade and expand the existing mineral resource. Infill intercepts fall within the boundaries of the 2024 mineral resource estimate (MRE) and are expected to convert inferred resources to measured or indicated categories. Expansion intercepts, situated outside the current MRE envelope, have the potential to add new resources in the forthcoming update scheduled for early 2026.

Highlights include hole 30-1136, which intersected 284.5 metres grading 0.41% copper (0.43% CuEq – expansion) and a higher-grade zone of 138 metres averaging 1.45% copper (1.52% CuEq – expansion), containing 64.5 metres at 2.70% copper (2.82% CuEq – expansion). Hole 30-1120 returned 598.5 metres averaging 0.28% copper (0.37% CuEq – combined infill and expansion).

Mineralization at Gaspé is hosted in porphyry and skarn systems, occurring as disseminated chalcopyrite with pyrite or pyrrhotite, accompanied by minor bornite and molybdenite. Copper Mountain features predominantly subvertical stockwork veins, while lower elevations and surrounding zones (Needle Mountain, Needle East, and Copper Brook) display stratigraphically controlled, bedding-parallel replacement-style mineralization. Elevated molybdenum grades up to 0.5% Mo have been recorded in skarn zones.

Osisko Metals CEO Robert Wares commented: “These latest results continue to confirm significant higher-grade mineralisation in the southern extension, with hole 30-1136 returning 64.5m averaging 2.70% Cu. We remain highly confident about the growth of our project and look forward to the updated MRE in early 2026.”

The current resource base stands at 824 million tonnes in the indicated category and 670 million tonnes inferred. Ongoing drilling continues to focus on resource growth, particularly in the southern and deeper portions of the deposit, as Osisko Metals advances the Gaspé Copper project toward future development.
