Wedoany.com Report-Dec.4, As of December 1, 2025, 26 sugar factories belonging to the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrtsukr) had processed 8.36 million tons of sugar beets and manufactured 1.25 million tons of sugar, the association's press service reported.
The current average sugar yield stands at 15.02%, compared with 14.11% during the previous season. This improvement results mainly from higher sugar content in delivered beets, which reached 17.48% upon intake, marking an increase of 0.71 percentage points over 2024 levels.
Processing will continue through December at 22 of these facilities. Vinnytsia region maintains its leading position, having produced 263,000 tons of sugar so far this season.
One additional plant, Horokhiv Sugar Factory, is also operating but is not a member of Ukrtsukr and does not share real-time production data.
For reference, between January and September 2025, Ukraine exported 298,710 tons of sugar valued at $151.94 million. In the corresponding period of 2024, exports amounted to 476,420 tons worth $283 million.
Year-on-year comparison for the first nine months therefore shows a reduction of 177,710 tons, or 37.3%, in volume and a decline of $131.06 million, equivalent to 46.3%, in export revenue.
The lower overseas shipments reflect a combination of domestic production dynamics and evolving market conditions during the current campaign. Meanwhile, the higher sugar extraction rate from beets supports efficient output at operating factories across the country.
