EKu Energises UK Battery Pair

Wedoany.com Report-Feb 22, Eku Energy has energised two battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the UK totally 68MW.

The assets are the 40MW/55MWh Loudwater BESS in Buckinghamshire and the 28MW/56MWh Basildon BESS in Essex, both in south-east England.

Commissioning of these projects will follow shortly.

Together with the Maldon BESS (40MW/40MWh) that was commissioned in September 2024, Eku Energy has a total of seven assets in either construction or operations globally with a development pipeline of more than 50 projects around the world, including in the UK, Australia and Japan.

Eku Energy is jointly owned by a Macquarie Asset Management managed fund and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI).
