Wedoany.com News - Recently, Samsung SDI announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with South Korean automaker KG Mobility (KGM) to jointly develop next-generation power battery technology for electric vehicles.

As part of the agreement, both parties will focus on battery pack technology utilizing Samsung SDI's 46-series cylindrical cells. They will also expand their cooperation in the research and development of next-generation battery pack technology and apply the technological achievements to KGM's next-generation electric vehicles.
Note: Samsung SDI's 46-series cylindrical cells adopt a high-capacity, high-nickel NCA cathode and Samsung SDI's proprietary silicon-carbon nanocomposite (SCN) anode.
