Paul Commercial Vehicles and the Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Centers in Germany have signed a brokerage agreement for the sale of Paul's innovative PH2P® hydrogen truck. The agreement is based on decades of trusted collaboration. All parties involved aim to advance hydrogen mobility for the benefit of efficiency, climate protection, and innovation in the German market.
Paul Commercial Vehicles announces a brokerage agreement with the Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Centers in Germany: The 15 Own Retail locations in Germany are now partners in brokering purchase inquiries for Paul's innovative PH2P® hydrogen truck. The common goal of the parties is to promote hydrogen mobility for the sake of efficiency, climate protection, and innovative strength in the German market. This expands the nationwide service partnership with the Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Centers announced by Paul in mid-2024 in the area of high-voltage and H2 vehicles.
The 16-ton PH2P® hydrogen truck is the first hydrogen vehicle of its class in Germany: It has a range of about 450 kilometers and a total towing weight of up to 24 tons. The PH2P® truck, built on a Mercedes-Benz Atego 4×2 / 6×2 Glider chassis with rear air suspension, has a hydrogen tank that holds about 30 kilograms and can be filled in just 10 to 15 minutes. In practice, it has already proven its versatility since the beginning of 2024 in various applications from long-haul transport to last-mile logistics and energy-intensive refrigerated transports.
Bernhard Wasner, CEO of Paul Commercial Vehicles, states: “We are very pleased about the conclusion of the contract and the brokerage of customer inquiries for our PH2P® Truck through Mercedes-Benz's sales network in Germany. Our companies have been working very closely and trustfully together for decades. With this agreement, we intensify our partnership and underscore what is in focus for both partners: We want to make a decisive contribution to the mobility transition.”
Joachim Reiner, Head of Own Retail Management MB Trucks Germany at Daimler Truck AG, says: “With this partnership, we are taking another important step towards sustainable mobility. The PH2P® hydrogen truck from Paul represents a forward-looking solution in its class, clearly underscoring our commitment to emission-free transport solutions. Through close cooperation with Paul Commercial Vehicles and our nationwide sales structure, we are well-equipped to offer our customers state-of-the-art drive technology and solutions for distribution traffic.”
