Wedoany.com Report-Mar 10, Less than two months ago, the HOYER Group and Nippon Gases Deutschland, together with hylane, put the first hydrogen-powered truck for dry ice transport into operation. A special moment – also because Minister of Economic Affairs Mona Neubaur personally drove the truck to the handover to convince herself of the technology. Today, the vehicle has already covered over 10,000 kilometers.

A first milestone: 10,000 kilometres with hydrogen trucks transporting dry ice

Every kilometre driven contributes to the further development of sustainable freight transport – made possible by the continuous expansion of the hydrogen infrastructure in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Industrie, Klimaschutz und Energie des Landes NRW creates the necessary framework conditions for innovative technologies such as this truck to demonstrate their strengths in everyday life.

Dr. Sara Schiffer, Managing Director at hylane: "We are delighted that Nippon Gases, in cooperation with the HOYER Group, is the first industrial gases company to use one of our hydrogen trucks in dry ice logistics. This underlines the versatility of our vehicles and shows that hydrogen trucks are a practical and sustainable alternative to diesel vehicles."
