Wedoany.com Report-Apr. 24, CleanMax, supported by Brookfield Renewable Partners, has launched a 92.1 MW wind-solar hybrid plant in Bengaluru, India, to supply electricity to Cisco’s major campus in the region. The facility, comprising 69 MWp of solar and 23.1 MW of wind capacity, will cover over 90% of Cisco’s power needs in Karnataka, one of the company’s largest hubs outside the United States.
The new plant adds to CleanMax’s existing 28.7 MWp solar project, operational since March 2018, bringing the total renewable energy supplied to Cisco to 120 MW. The hybrid system is projected to produce approximately 181.4 million kWh annually, reducing carbon emissions by around 129,000 metric tons of CO₂e each year.
“As a net-zero partner, CleanMax is focused on empowering corporations to meet their renewable energy requirements,” said Kuldeep Jain, managing director of CleanMax. “Our partnership with Cisco underscores a shared commitment to high standards and sustainable practices.”
