Wedoany.com Report-May 19, On Friday, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced emergency measures to tackle significant grid reliability concerns and enhance the stability of Puerto Rico’s energy infrastructure. These actions aim to address urgent challenges and improve the resilience of the island’s power system.

The DOE also revealed plans to evaluate $365 million allocated from the Puerto Rico Energy Resilience Fund. The review will ensure that all resources are directed toward effective grid improvements and deliver benefits to all Puerto Rico residents. “This funding is used to support practical fixes to the grid and benefits all residents of Puerto Rico,” the DOE stated.

The emergency orders will activate immediate protocols to address critical issues within Puerto Rico’s energy network. These measures are designed to provide swift solutions, strengthen infrastructure, and ensure a reliable power supply for the island’s communities.
