The new device is designed for residential and small commercial solar applications, offering flexible PV input and reliable performance under challenging conditions.

The S2500S-L accepts PV input ranging from 560 W to 720 W and converts it to 2.5 kW of AC output. By linking three units, users can achieve a combined output of 7.5 kW, providing scalable solutions for various energy needs. Sungrow emphasized that the inverter supports four independent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) inputs, with DC input currents up to 18 A, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of solar modules.

Designed for high-temperature environments, the S2500S-L operates continuously at 45°C without power derating and can maintain reliable output up to 80°C. The compact system measures 346 mm x 227 mm x 46 mm and weighs 5.5 kg, making it suitable for rooftop installations. It employs bracket mounting and carries an IP67 protection rating, offering resistance to dust and water ingress. The maximum operating altitude is 2,000 meters, allowing use in a variety of geographic locations.

In addition to robust physical specifications, the S2500S-L features enhanced communication capabilities. Sungrow noted that signal quality exceeds industry averages by 5–10 dB, with transmission power increased by 10%, ensuring stronger and longer signal reach. With a high receiver sensitivity of -93 dBm, the inverter can maintain stable communication even in environments with obstacles such as walls, supporting reliable monitoring and system control.

The launch reflects Sungrow’s focus on expanding its energy storage and inverter product portfolio to meet growing global demand for flexible, high-efficiency solar solutions. With a maximum efficiency of 96.5%, the S2500S-L combines strong conversion performance with advanced monitoring features, providing an integrated solution for homeowners and small commercial operators.
