Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 16, Expo-Net Danmark A/S, based in Hjørring, Denmark, is showcasing its extruded thermoplastic resin flow meshes, designed to enhance productivity and quality in manufacturing large fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) components. The company is also introducing Greenflow HM-P16, a new high-productivity hybrid flow mesh product.

Developed in collaboration with a release film producer, Greenflow HM-P16 is fully recyclable, combining a precision-extruded green polypropylene (PP) resin flow mesh with a perforated PP release film in a standard pink color. The film features approximately 0.5 mm diameter holes spaced about 3.5 mm apart. By bonding the release film to the underside of the flow mesh, both components can be dry-laid simultaneously in the mold, streamlining the process for producers of large infused parts.

The Greenflow HM-P16 was created to meet the needs of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the wind energy and marine industries, who seek to optimize vacuum infusion processes for large FRP components without sacrificing quality. Testing demonstrated that this hybrid mesh significantly reduces mold layup time, saving several hours depending on component size and complexity. This efficiency lowers production costs while maintaining the quality benefits of resin flow meshes.

The perforated release film in Greenflow HM products can be made from either PP or high-density polyethylene (HDPE), tailored to specific infusion applications and customer requirements. The film is bonded to either standard or custom Expo-Net flow mesh grades, offering flexibility for diverse manufacturing needs.

Expo-Net provides detailed technical guidance through its “Vacuum Infusion Resin Flow Mesh Technical Processing Guide.” This resource includes comparative data on infusion times and resin flow across different mesh grades, helping manufacturers select the optimal flow mesh for specific mold sections and FRP part designs.

Beyond its product offerings, Expo-Net emphasizes responsive and reliable customer service. The company is dedicated to sustainability, with an ongoing commitment to improving environmental performance and achieving net-zero goals.

These advancements position Expo-Net as a leader in supporting industries reliant on large-scale FRP components. The Greenflow HM-P16 enhances manufacturing efficiency, aligning with the demand for high-quality, cost-effective solutions in sectors like wind energy and marine applications.

By integrating recyclable materials and innovative designs, Expo-Net supports sustainable manufacturing practices while meeting the rigorous demands of global OEMs. The company’s focus on technical support and customizable solutions ensures manufacturers can optimize their production processes effectively.
