Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 20, On October 16, 2025, Leapmotor unveiled its all-new flagship SUV, the D19, in Shanghai. Built on the company’s flagship D platform, the D19 represents Leapmotor’s latest step in intelligent electric mobility and will be offered in two versions: REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) and BEV (battery electric vehicle).

As the first model developed under the D platform, the D19 introduces Leapmotor’s “Tech-Natural Aesthetics 2.0” design philosophy, which merges advanced technology with natural, minimalist design. This concept emphasizes harmony between form and function, highlighting user-centered innovation and calm, balanced proportions inspired by nature.
The D19 measures over 5.2 meters in length, nearly 2 meters in width, and features a wheelbase of more than 3.1 meters, giving it a commanding presence as a flagship SUV. Its front design, called the “Cosmic Realm,” incorporates a continuous “Skyline” light strip and a wide lower grille forming a distinct “Horizon” profile. An Active Grille Shutter system optimizes airflow based on driving conditions to enhance efficiency. The vehicle is available in five colors — Pine Green, Optical White, Liquid Silver, Sky Grey, and Metallic Black — each reflecting natural inspirations.
Technologically, the D19 demonstrates six key innovations developed under the D platform. The REEV version features an 80.3 kWh CATL battery using Leapmotor’s CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) technology and supports 800V fast charging, enabling over 500 km of battery-powered range (CLTC). The BEV model adopts a 115 kWh CATL mixed-cell battery and achieves a CLTC range exceeding 700 km. With a 1000V high-voltage architecture, a 15-minute charge can deliver more than 350 km of range, ensuring both long-distance capability and rapid energy replenishment.
Powered by dual Qualcomm 8797 chips delivering 1,280 TOPS of computing power, the D19 supports a new-generation AI smart cockpit and VLA advanced assisted driving functions. It also features a tri-motor vector control system, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around three seconds, comparable to high-performance vehicles. The structure’s torsional rigidity reaches 50,500 N·m/deg, complemented by dual-chamber air suspension, CDC adaptive dampers, predictive chassis control, and LMC 2.0 with dual-tire blowout stability. A 3.6-meter turning radius further enhances agility and control.
Inside, the D19 introduces the industry’s first “Forest Oxygen Cabin,” which applies automotive-grade vacuum pressure swing adsorption technology to generate up to 8 liters of oxygen per minute. The system supports both cabin-wide and nasal oxygen delivery, designed to maintain passenger comfort during long trips or high-altitude drives.
With its combination of innovative technology, performance, and design, the Leapmotor D19 marks a significant advancement in the company’s global strategy, reinforcing its commitment to intelligent mobility and user-centered electric vehicle innovation.
