Wedoany.com Report-Dec.8, Diana Shipping Inc., the Athens-based dry bulk owner, has secured a new medium-term charter for its 2013-built capesize bulk carrier P S Palios (179,134 dwt) with Glencore Freight.

The vessel will earn a gross daily rate of $25,200, minus 5% address commission, for a firm period ending no earlier than November 15, 2026. Glencore holds an option to extend the charter by up to two additional months on the same terms.

The new fixture commences on December 14, 2025, immediately following the completion of the ship's current employment with Bohai Shipping, which began in May 2024 at $27,150 per day.

Diana Shipping expects the minimum scheduled duration of the Glencore charter to generate approximately $8.34 million in gross revenue.

The agreement represents the latest in a series of period charters concluded by Diana Shipping. In the preceding week, the company fixed two ultramax vessels on multi-year contracts at rates moderately above their prior employments.

With this fixture, Diana Shipping continues to secure forward revenue visibility for its capesize fleet through the second half of 2026 and potentially into early 2027, providing stable cash-flow stability amid fluctuating spot market conditions.
