Wedoany.com Report-Dec.8, CleanKore and HMS have formed a strategic partnership to develop a fully integrated, low-impact denim production process that spans dyeing through garment finishing.

The partners aim to jointly advance sustainable denim manufacturing.

CleanKore's patented dyeing technology eliminates the use of potassium permanganate while substantially reducing water, chemical and energy consumption. The process controls dye penetration without compromising fabric strength or performance.

HMS contributes its sludge-free washing system that replaces traditional pumice stones and chemical agents with reusable composite washing stones, cutting water usage and eliminating wastewater sludge.

The combined solution is designed to deliver significant environmental benefits across the entire denim supply chain, from yarn dyeing to final garment washing, while maintaining consistent quality and reducing processing time and cost.

HMS CEO and founder Beyza Baykan said: "This collaboration brings two innovation engines together. CleanKore is transforming the beginning of the denim journey, and HMS is transforming the end. By combining our technologies and vision, we will be able to offer the denim world a comprehensive concept to significantly reduce their environmental footprint while saving on time & cost."

CleanKore CEO Darryl Costin Jr. said: "We are honoured to partner with an innovative and like-minded company in HMS that shares our passion in providing transformational, eco-advanced solutions to the global denim community. HMS’ breakthrough stone alternative to pumice is the perfect counterpart to CleanKore and we look forward to a bright future together."

The companies plan to launch joint pilot programmes with selected mills and laundries in the coming months, followed by broader commercial roll-out of the integrated technology platform. Further details on pilot results and market introduction will be announced as the collaboration progresses.
