Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 15, Galliford Try’s Building London and South East Commercial division has finished the initial phase of build-to-rent (BTR) homes at Brent Cross Town, a major development in London, UK. Covering 180 acres, Brent Cross Town is an £8 billion ($10 billion) park town project led by Related Argent and Barnet Council.
Galliford Try is working on the second phase of The Maple.
Following the completion of 281 apartments at Ashley Road in Tottenham Hale, the first phase, known as Plot 13 or ‘The Maple,’ includes 249 BTR homes across four buildings, ranging from eight to 16 stories. Designed by Squire & Partners and WCA, with interiors by Conran and Partners, The Maple offers studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments. The ground floor features retail and leisure spaces, a community area, and a shared basement parking facility.
Galliford Try is also constructing the second phase, Plot 14, expected to be completed later in 2025, adding 286 homes. Upon completion of both phases, residents will have access to amenities including a gym, swimming pool, spa facilities, a pet wash station, and landscaped podium gardens that enhance the urban environment with green spaces.
The Maple prioritizes sustainability, aligning with Brent Cross Town’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon status. The project incorporates eco-friendly construction methods, modular bathroom pods, and a comprehensive carbon life cycle assessment to minimize embodied carbon and support circular economy principles.
Matthew Pool, Managing Director of Galliford Try’s Building London and South East Commercial division, stated: “We are pleased to have successfully completed Plot 13 at Brent Cross Town, a high-quality residential development that reflects our capability in delivering complex, large-scale urban projects. This scheme represents another positive milestone in our longstanding partnership with Related Argent, and we are proud to contribute to the continued progression of this significant regeneration project.”
When fully realized, Brent Cross Town will be one of Europe’s largest regeneration initiatives, delivering 6,700 homes, three million square feet of office and workspace, a new high street, three redeveloped schools, and over 50 acres of public parks and playing fields. The project aims to create a vibrant, sustainable community in London, blending modern living with accessible green spaces and advanced infrastructure.
