Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 7, Boeing (BA.N) announced on Thursday that Kazakhstan’s national airline, Air Astana, has placed an order for up to 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The deal is aimed at modernizing the airline’s fleet and supporting its expansion into new international routes.

Air Astana currently operates three Boeing 767 widebody jets, which connect Kazakhstan with destinations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Boeing noted that the addition of 787 Dreamliners will allow the carrier to increase passenger capacity, improve fuel efficiency, and expand services to long-haul markets, including North America.

The order was finalized during the C5+1 Summit in Washington, which marks the 10th anniversary of diplomatic meetings between the United States and five Central Asian republics. The summit also highlighted regional cooperation in areas such as trade, aviation, and infrastructure development.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is known for its advanced aerodynamics, lightweight composite materials, and fuel-efficient engines, offering airlines significant cost savings and enhanced passenger comfort on long-haul flights. By acquiring these aircraft, Air Astana aims to strengthen its competitiveness in the international aviation market while supporting the growth of Kazakhstan’s air transport sector.

This agreement with Air Astana follows other recent Boeing sales in the region, reflecting strong demand for U.S.-made aircraft among Central Asian carriers.
